The goal of the Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre is to provide not only emergency food but also an information and referral service for people in need in Summerland. We provide information, assistance and direct aid to people who are experiencing difficulty in their lives and need a helping hand or who want to find out what social services may be available to help them. Please drop in to view our facilities, meet with our knowledgeable staff and volunteers or simply to chat.

We have moved!

On October 2, 2024 we will open our temporary Food Bank and Resource Centre at Summerland Alliance Church, 14820 Victoria Road North. The Alliance Church  congregation has generously offered to host us while our new downtown facility on Henry Avenue is being built. We also welcome Work BC as a new partner in offering services to those in need n Summerland.

This is our first move in 40 years and we offer our sincere thanks to Summerland United Church, our founder and supporter through those years.

Our Resource Centre

The Summerland Resource Centre strives to serve as a one-stop source of information and assistance to Summerland residents in times of need. The Centre is operated by the Summerland Food Bank.

Seed to Feed Program

Would you like to address the food security needs in our community? Do you enjoy gardening or want to learn? Have some spare time? Join us in Seed to Feed, a new initiative that aims to grow fresh, local, organic produce at the Summerland Community Gardens for distribution via the Food Bank at its Tuesday Sharing Stand. This is our start up year, and we are currently seeking volunteers and supplies.
